Exactly my question and why I asked it. I am getting ready to replace it. How does the new MX51 compare to the old standby 756? Cornering, handling, etc. Anybody?

I hated the 756's! I put one ride on them and swapped them out. I found the MX51's to be a decent tire. Not as good as the Maxxis, but decent enough to run again if need be. My %X51's are still on my bike with another 1/2 season on them left.

Are you talking fronts or rears? I was talking as a front tire and not rear.

Especially the front tire! I'm one of those freaks that buys tires in sets.... I could see it possibly being an ok sand tire but for around here it was horrible. Our tracks range from sand to perfectly manicured loam to hard pack SX style tracks..
