I don't start college for another year so I'm still looking to buy a bigger bike, just after I get some practice in on a smaller bike.

Does the bike need to be street legal? If you want to drive on the street a lot get a drz400

Yeah I decided not street legal for now, but remember I'm set on getting a KTM! I just want something perfect for riding trails. 4 stroke.

a 200 2 stroke is about the best trail bike your going to get for the kind of trails that are around you, just sayin

Hey so what is the benefit of a 4 stroke and what are the benefits of a 2 stroke?

2 strokes run cooler. 2 strokes are cheaper and easier to work on. 4 strokes generally have a broader power band. Both work great. Personally I believe the ktm 200 is one of the best woods bikes.
