Be careful on the Rincon. It's going to be freaking HOT out there and I'd wager that only the larger streams will have reliable water. Start that long ride at the crack of dawn. I'd say it's either water purification or carry well over a gallon.

We'll be fine... just keep rolling down hill till Kernville... leave all tools at camp and carry more water... :smirk:

Ride will start in th mid 70s. Will be 90F when we hit Kernville.

Last year I went down Cedar Canyon and then out Rincon to the pavement. My Beta boiled over going down Cedar canyon. I still don't get that. It must have been the very slow going. It was a lot worst than I remember it from past years. I have a fan setup now so I'm ready for next time.

I had to stop at every stream to refill my water bottles so I could refill my bike after the next boil over climb.
