Okay... need input from the people that ride MX. I ride a little bit of both (MX and Trails). What if any hand guards does everyone run on a MX track... Thanks in advance.
I don't use hand guards, nor do any of my friends, but then again we don't have that rocky of a soil either. If you're only using it for roost on the track I can't imagine needing really strong ones.Okay... need input from the people that ride MX. I ride a little bit of both (MX and Trails). To answer the OP's question, if I was running MX and the track was rocky, I would run hand guards to protect from being pelted by rocks. I see the pros sometimes run them and not sure what brand they are. Normally a smaller version to perfect the knuckles.
I've never personally used hand guards (haven't needed them, YET), but I can tell you that anything that will keep mud off the controls is a plus.I've seen/read about guys the ride/race MX use handguards when it's muddy...keeps their hands from getting all jacked up with mud!
