Any chance I can find that video of the girl surfing in a bigger screen? I like the angle.

This looks really cool! They should make some detachable lenses that change the wideness and such.

You can do that somewhat by changing your recording resolution.

  • Angle of View: 170º ultra wide angle in WVGA, 720p, or 960p mode
  • Angle of View: 127º wide angle in 1080p mode

Oh yeah! I completely forgot about changing the recording modes. I always left mine in r3, I'm scared to experiment with it, I don't wanna mess up a video I can't re-do.

R3 is 720p right? I'm pretty sure that's what I have mine set to. :thumb:

So Fellers, my son and I decided to get a GoPro but, we are not sure which one to get? Help a dirt poor prairie boy out will ya. :thumb:
Here's what I already had:
HD Helmet Hero - http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-helmet-hero-camera
Extra Battery - http://gopro.com/camera-accessories/rechargeable-li-ion-battery
2 - 16GB Memory Cards - http://gopro.com/camera-accessories/16gb-sd-memory-card (You can also get the 32GB, however these are the best bang for you buck)

What I ordered today:
LCD BacPac - http://gopro.com/hd-hero-accessories/lcd-bacpac (Just became available)
Handlebar Mount - http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/handlebar-seatpost-mount
Chest Mount Harness - http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/chest-mount-harness

The actual camera kit comes with A LOT of stuff (no memory card), so the other mounting hardware isn't really necessary. You might want to get the LCD BacPac and extra battery though. :thumb:

Oh and please help out DBA by clicking through this link to buy your stuff. :hail:

BTW Just to clarify, make sure to get the HD Helmet Hero kit as that has the mounting hardware for, well, helmets. :thumb: All the HD kits have the same cameras, just different mounting options/hardware.

my lcd came yesterday and my first impressions are....

awesome finally i can playback a video on the gopro and watch it.

as for leaving it on while you ride... i think it would be kind of a waste of battery to leave it on. besides i had mine mounted to the windshield of the truck and had it charging but the screen will not stay on.

here is a case i got for all my gopro stuff.
