[Feb 2, 2013] REZRIDE 2013 (LANDERS, CA 92285)

REZ. The Wildcat will go everywhere. And I mean everywhere. I'm going to Salmon Run that sum bitch next time out I think. :devil:

Wildcat makes a 4 seater now as does RZR but the Wildcat is a better ride. Hell I can start a thread in this thing but this is a dirt bike site and I don't think anybody wants to hear it.

40+ MPH across the whoops and 60+ down sandwashes :wow:

That "slowing down" thing is BS. I told myself that I would just back off a bit after my back had healed. And I have. I stay well within my skill level. I used to go as fast as I could and many times not be able to stay on the trail. I figured if I rode slow enough to easily stay on a trail and see what was up ahead and be able to react that I could keep safe. I was doing all those things last Saturday when I went down and broke my shoulder and ankle. I don't know what to do now. If I go any slower, I might as well stay home. I don't want to give it up, but I can't keep getting injured either.
Rez, it sounds like you've reached that point in life where you're ready to move on. Don't force yourself to keep riding or bad things will probably happen.
Well put. You and Tim have had your share of bad luck. I said to Tim on Monday before he got hurt, that what happened to you was enough to make one stop riding. I just know that for me personally, I have backed off some. It doesn't mean I won't get hurt, it just lessens the chances. Heal quick my friend.:ride:

I have no idea what to think of this thread and comments anymore. As far as I am concern, you all need to ride within your ability, FRQ's, 4X4, Dirtcycles, etc. etc. one should never ride over the envelope of comfort, or "try" to keep up with others. Riding IMHO, with friends is all levels of riding, fast, slow, technical, easy, it just does not matter. We can get hurt at any given moment or at any time. Uneasy feeling before rides is always on my mind as well, what if I get hurt to far away from the truck, or the bike fails? So what, worst case has been with my young kids w/o a license, how are they going to get back to the truck and come and get me? Oh well, that's all I have to say. Better to live and be happy, than to die without trying. If you decide to go on 4 wheels will I not go, no, I'll go and meet you where the trails connect. I don't loose sleep over it. It's just if you don't have a bike, you have to sign out and go to another forum. J/K I love you all, hope this makes sence and you all had a great new year. Sorry for the Rose family, heal quick and get back on the steed.
:cheers::hifive:

Yep, this is just what you need Rez. No way of hurting yourself in this thing. :lol:

I found this new forum called FRQ's.com. It is for everyone that still likes to get out. :lol: I am pretty sure most of you know what FRQ's are by now. If not, Palmer will be more than happy to chime in.
Touche :smirk:

Dude, you have nothing to be sorry for. You know I'm just messin' with you about the juju. :lol:

You know Rolls, this is very true and I tell myself all the time that I am just going to ride nice and slow and not push it. Then I find myself out there on a sweet trail getting into the groove or a nice long sand wash and cranking it on and suddenly it dawns on me that I am full of shit. I have way too much fun out there so I keep thanking the man upstairs and be as careful as I can. I have gone down several times in the past and I can not afford to have it happen to me at this stage of life. :naughty: Too old now and it takes too long to get back up and the money tree doesn't grow anymore.
This is exactly my problem. I don't mind the pain that much, but the hit financially is what really hurts. I also worry that now that I've found a place I like working at, they will get tired of all the time I lose to injury and fire me. There are many legitimate reasons to hang it up. But, I won't. It still burns in my veins. I've had some family members tell me lately that I just won't learn. I just figured that they didn't understand, but maybe they're right. Who knows?

Come on, you know I am not blaming me! You guys just don't know how to keep the rubber down. :smirk:

Really, that statement is just that! Sorry for the Rose family, you guys over the past month are getting beat up. Hey, I am 50, ride like a puss and danger is always around the corner no matter what you do or how you ride. I have not broken a bone in my body (well a toe when I was 10) other than that, (knock on wood) notta! I don't ride great, I do crash, I will not give it up!

I went over the bars this past weekend as well. Large bruise on the left inner thigh, lower back is sore. Thank god I did not have any of the issues that the brothers Rose did.
