Chain kinking issues. Help!

Just got back and it was surprisingly no problem. Didn't really have to bitch too much. Didn't need the sprockets as I just got new ones with the new chain.
Did you get the same type of chain or get yourself a better one? Did they have anything to say as to why the chain you had was a piece of junk? Okay, maybe not junk but it did have some issues.

Hopefully he got one that says Made in the USA if that even exist anymore! :prof:

The thought was that maybe the chain had been on shelf for a long time and the oil it was packed in had "gone bad" or started to solidify some.

I got full credit for the chain and applied it to what I hope was a better one, an RK O-ring chain for about $100.00. Will never go cheap on a chain again. Lesson learned.

AWWWWW FRACK NUGGETS...

I installed and properly maintained an RK 520 Non o-ring Chain for 30 hours of hard desert use on the WR500.
Reference Here
Now it's kinking something terrible. I pulled it off and soaked it and worked it... to no avail.
I am actually afraid to use this chain much longer.

So I'm going to buy another name brand non o-ring and a nice o-ring chain from the same company.
Run the non oring first, measure the life.
Then run the oring chain, measure it's life.
Compare.
