2 Stroke Bringing a CR125 to life

So we purchased a 2000 cr125 years ago I don't even remember how long ago to be honest (5 years maybe?). We basically just let it sit there until I realized I was tall enough to ride it :smirk:

so here is how it sat

I convinced my dad to buy me a piston kit for it, and I got the cylinder plated at millennium (who did an awesome job!) So finally we received the gasket kit Friday and got to work the next day...errrr my dad did

took it's first breath of air at 5:30, I couldn't believe we revived it after so many years.

The plastics kinda didn't make it though..

I know call me a redneck but I'm going to paint them until I can afford a new set :prof:

OH BTW it runs good :smirk:
Didn't get to ride it today due to having no clutch perch, but I will let y'all know how that goes..

Nice! :thumb:

Hey you were there for moral support right, or that's at least what I always claim.

BTW why paint the plastics? Just stick them on and go ride, it isn't a fashion show is it? :smirk:

It isn't a fashion show that's why I don't mind if the paint is chipping :P

plus I'm skeptical about the whole krylon fusion stuff and I wanna see how it holds up! :thumb:

Looks great :thumb: hey, a no cost fix that it will most likely need since it has sat for you so long is to grease those linkage and swing arm bearings. You and your bike will thank me for that later :smirk:

Yeah we need to do a few more things to it. We just ordered the last of the necessary parts last night :thumb:

here's how it sits.

Yeahhhh, we were pretty afraid to see how the transmission did. Turns out all is good it just needed a top end. After this week the only thing it will need is cosmetics :ride:
