That pic was cheating, it was from 2009. The lady is over taking pics of me from the beach, guess I need to trade her in for a newer model. No pics of this trips surf, but it was good, 6'-8'. Supposed to be double overhead tomorrow down there, too big for the beach break, time for reefs and points.
I used to surf alot, started going in the water about when I was 4 years old....rode bikes in high school days and then had too many kids and quit the bikes, couldn't afford it anymore.
Kids are grown and Now I ride! Haven't surfed in the US in about 3 years, got a brand new board hanging in my garage....
On a related note, I talked to Dave Wood last night. I understand where he was coming from as in; who has the time and money to drive or fly a bunch of miles to just hang out? We also understand that hanging out and bs'ing ain't so bad....
Me, I'm driving 1000 miles next week to ride in Idaho! Costa Rica is about 3000 miles. Don't think I'll drive to Oklahoma.
