We hit Pole Line and went North to the highway. It looks like my mandatory donation has funded a lot of new signs.:busted:

Looks like Rolls doesn't give a shat either.
TDay 2012 092.JPG

So we rode around to the East side, and I picked a good one.
TDay 2012 093.JPG

It was a tight squeeze, but not too bad.

After a while it opened back up (kind of), but then we came to a cave in.
TDay 2012 104.JPG

Rolls dreading turning around.
TDay 2012 103.JPG

Me on the other side.
TDay 2012 105.JPG

A cool little stand alone pillar.
TDay 2012 107.JPG

It was getting a little warm for walkng.
TDay 2012 116.JPG

So, we picked a line, and went right over with no problem.
TDay 2012 117.JPG

Rolls clearing the top.
TDay 2012 118.JPG

Time for a gear off, cool down, safety meeting.
TDay 2012 120.JPG

It was a welcome break.
TDay 2012 122.JPG

Just around the corner, it emptied into the South Ditch Wash.

A little more to come...

Once out of the slot, we headed straight back to camp.

TDay 2012 127.JPG

A lot of new trails for myself down there. We rode some of this "Rock and Roll", and it was kind of fun. High speed 2 track, with rollng jumps.:ride:
TDay 2012 128.JPG

Back at camp, it was food time.
TDay 2012 129.JPG

Lumber jack Rolls splitting wood.
TDay 2012 130.JPG

It was the best meal of the trip.
TDay 2012 132.JPG

Sawyer thought so too.
TDay 2012 134.JPG

Rolls back for seconds.
TDay 2012 135.JPG

After the food, we all discussed, and decided it was time to go home. Sawyer's Doctor was in the office Friday, so we planned to see him to get the Orthopedic refferal going.

All, in all, we had some good riding. Here's wishing Sawyer back in the saddle soon, and welcome to the titanium club. :thumb:

We saw the Orthopedic Doc yesterday, and in their infinite wisdom, they say that stupid figure 8 brace only.:picard: I expressed my opinion of that, and now we have a trauma surgeon appointment in 2 weeks.

My sports doctor says the figure 8 braces are worthless. They are only good to show people you are hurt and not to touch you.

Even the trauma doc in Indio said, "Forget the brace, he needs a pin, and some screws."

I agree, with the bone separated like it is, it needs to be pulled together and pinned or you are going to have a big lump there like I had. I eventually had mine ground done when they went in and fixed my shoulder a few years ago.

That sounds fun.

So I guess I needed a different doctor back when I broke mine as I have the big lump. I do not think I like the sound of having it ground down though. :naughty:
