Another Eventfull Trip To OW

We hit Pole Line and went North to the highway. It looks like my mandatory donation has funded a lot of new signs.


This is info Sawyer could have used Monday morning.


Yeah, I'll obey this one.


Looks like Rolls doesn't give a shat either.


So we rode around to the East side, and I picked a good one.


It was a tight squeeze, but not too bad.

The next squeeze was a little tighter.




Looks like he made it.


After a while it opened back up (kind of), but then we came to a cave in.


Rolls dreading turning around.

A cool little stand alone pillar.


It was getting a little warm for walkng.


So, we picked a line, and went right over with no problem.

Time for a gear off, cool down, safety meeting.


It was a welcome break.


Just around the corner, it emptied into the South Ditch Wash.

Once out of the slot, we headed straight back to camp.

A lot of new trails for myself down there. We rode some of this "Rock and Roll", and it was kind of fun. High speed 2 track, with rollng jumps.


Back at camp, it was food time.


Lumber jack Rolls splitting wood.


It was the best meal of the trip.


Sawyer thought so too.

After the food, we all discussed, and decided it was time to go home. Sawyer's Doctor was in the office Friday, so we planned to see him to get the Orthopedic refferal going.

We saw the Orthopedic Doc yesterday, and in their infinite wisdom, they say that stupid figure 8 brace only. I expressed my opinion of that, and now we have a trauma surgeon appointment in 2 weeks.

My sports doctor says the figure 8 braces are worthless. They are only good to show people you are hurt and not to touch you.

I agree, with the bone separated like it is, it needs to be pulled together and pinned or you are going to have a big lump there like I had. I eventually had mine ground done when they went in and fixed my shoulder a few years ago.

That hurt worst then the shoulder surgery and it still has a tender spot on the end that will give me a stinger down my arm when touched.

So I guess I needed a different doctor back when I broke mine as I have the big lump. I do not think I like the sound of having it ground down though.
