Air Filter- 2003 Honda XR100r

The no - toil filters say they can only be cleaned with their specific cleaner. Is that correct? Would the uni kit work on them?

No toil requires the no toil cleaner. Or you can use Oxyclean. I'm not a fan of no toil stuff. Maxima, belray, Silkolene, yamalube filter oils are great. I use a tub/bucket of filter cleaner with a lid and just keep adding filters to it.

How do you know the filter is working (assuming you know what it is there for)?
I look at ambient air temperature, relative humidity, and the pollution average in my area. Then I refer to the wind sock angle, must be 76 degrees or above, divide that by cc's of the motor, times that by my age and who I'm riding with to give me the final numbers. This dictates if it clean or not. The filters actually worn on the foot while kick starting right? But which hand do you use to put it on with?
