2 Stroke 1998 CR80R

He ain't grinning no more.
So it appears new owner (dad, my friend) let son (10 years old, never done it before) take care of mixing the premix...and either didn't put in enough 2T oil, didn't put in any, or filled from a non-premix jug, then let the kid run the bike around in first gear (didn't know how to shift), in the hot desert while he tried feverishly (and unsuccessfully) to learn how to kick-start the WR.
By the time I got there the 80 was locked up solid.
It'll be back in my shop on Monday.

I had the WR running in 3 kicks while he did one of these .

Same thing happened to a KX250 I built for a kid. He brought it to a shop when it seized and the mechanic said it was one of 2 things, The crank was built and pressed together wrong, or he ran straight gas. Since I didn't build the crank, and purchase new, he ran straight gas. Endless to say, his dad didn't call me to complain. He knew his son Fuberdit.
