Hey I'm in desperate need for a bottom end for this bike. The compatible years are 88 to 92. Anyone have any laying around?
I guess I'm going to have to attempt it. What are the special tools I need? Is there any I can't get away with not using?Cheaper to rebuild....
Buying a used bottom end will put you right back where you started, on a gamble.

I would let the pros do the crank. They have a special Jig that holds the crank halves in perfect alignment during the pressing process. -BIG DANOk. Some one told me I have to have a machine shop do the crank. Can I do it on my own if I follow the book or should I let the pros do this part
I wouldn't. If you don't get the crank back together exact it will be off balance and rattle you to death before it finally destroys it self. Plus you have a serious press to do this.Ok. None available for this particular model. None of the big 4 manufacturer's are cranking them out....Can buy a whole new crank also, check pricing, might be just over a rebuild.
That's why I'm thinking of buying this bottom end on eBay http://bit.ly/1fhxBh8 I can't even find a crank on eBay so for 300 bucks I can be back in the game because I already have a new top end.None available for this particular model. None of the big 4 manufacturer's are cranking them out....
