I have re-ringed a few smaller 4Ts with hone and fresh rings to get them to quit smoking.
The bores were round and even, with no surface issues, just ring wear. The new rings also ended up with perfect gap because the bore wasnt worn.
If the bore is trashed, even just out of round, a re-ring won't last very long.
I'm sure they make a +.75-1.0mm if you need to bore and re-piston.

My bore is even, so that’s good, I also have a cylinder set hone. So I think I’ll be good with new rings then (with proper end gap haha)
