Ok, thanks!I would remove the carbon and see if the head seals fluid with those valves.
That's good enough for me, if it holds back water or alcohol indefinitely.

Yup, i tried starting it yesterday and it would only idle on choke. But it was 10 degrees out, and windy, so no valuable information was gained
No choke needed in my area .
The carb isn’t exactly tuned right either, but 10 degrees is too cold for tuning.
I have never seen those temps in my area....... . Snow , 3 times since 1968 .... and only lasts about 4-6 hrs. Then it's gone .....
I’m in Missouri, so I get snow every winter, snow hit a bit late this year though. (it snowed yesterday)
I'll keep the sand and warmer temps , Thank you ...
I want to move down to Texas someday, getting tired of the cold. Probably somewhere near Fredericksburg
