I'm in with the boat idea. I say lets get a bunch from the forum with boats and those without and do a day on the lake. Need someone with a party barge though. Mine will seat 6 if we all wakeboard,4 if we ski. Tower racks will do 4 boards and 2 skis.
Come on Pat I know you have a boat....
Did I hijack this thread or what
That would be a tough trip for me for a day. It's like 4 hrs to Millerton from me towing the boat. Now if you want to come my way I can meet you at Castaic or Pyramid...I'll bring my wakeboard!I'm in with the boat idea. I don't do Millerton until after Labor day when everybody puts their stuff away for the season. We do Pine Flat EARLY to get the good water. Castaic or Pyramid is a haul. Thought about joining Wolf Lakes. I haven't ever skied a course, yet. Do love to slalom though!Got the boat and Wolf Lakes in my back yard. Can ski the (course) buoy's anytime. the trails are more fun. Rule of thumb is the temperature drops 3 degrees per thousand and wed it is going to be 94 in Fresno and 92 on Thursday, thats 74 at 6000 ft.
Aw Pine Flats! I remember the days of skiing that lake when it was full and you had your own man made salom course trying to avoid the driftwood. Well it's full this year! We've been here for two years and driftwood has never been a problem. Only problem is my wife can't quit using the tach for the speedo. 3200 rpm same as 32 mph right? Timoyz - I have 400hp and a tuned wakeboard prop that will say different..I bet my fat ass couldn't couldn't even get up anymore. It would be fun to try though.
This was way back in the 70s and early 80's. I have not been there since probably '89 when we took the old stand up jet skies there for the weekend.Well it's full this year! I have some heavy duty zip ties, we can attach you to the rope, no worries. It's not the boat, or plank that would be the problem. It's the fat ass that would have to hold onto the rope, that worries me.
