Anyone else having a bad hunting season?

Anyone here having as bad a hunting season as we are here in South Dakota? Its only the 3rd day, but I have usualy at least filled my doe tags by now. Its way too nice, middle of november and its 50 degrees and no snow. Hopefully something changes, we got one doe this morning and it wasnt even ours, a friend we brought along nabbed it. This sucks .

Haha, nice. Well you guys are all lucky. But the snow has started falling tonight so early tomorrow I might have that big mule. I'll post a picture of it, we saw it tonight you won't believe how big it is haha.

Around where I live there are a few big mules but I don't think they're the type you're speaking of......:smirk:

FINALLY SOME BLOOD! not just any blood, nice whitetail blood. He is bigger in person thn the picture, and much thicker. That muley disappeared somewhere, but there is another whitetail out here that has to be record material, we are going to get him tomorrow morning. This one is 18 inches wide on inside, and 12 high. 5x4 with a cool little kicker on the inside, my hand is covering it on the picture. Couldn't pass his dumbass up, there was an illegal hunter that we chased off and looked over and there he was watching us from about 100 yards, double lunged him and that was that dropped right there, dead before he hit the ground. But at least I finally got blood, the old .30-06 doesn't screw around.

I watched Two Harry Bikers and they were making Roadkill food, I was thinking that could be easy in my area as I ran over a rabbit on the way to work Tuesday. So that makes "hunting in my truck" in the last 12 years 8 rabbits, 4 squirrels, 5 opossums and 2 bats. And I bagged a Doe on my Supermoto. Or is it not considered hunting if I use a vehicle? :smirk:

I use my truck for turkeys haha. Damn things are everywhere. My grandpa one day saw some of them on the side of the road drove past real close, opened the door and clipped all of their heads in one pass. Went back picked them up haha.

I don't see why not ... :noidea: not like you were planning on it ....

Well thats not it guys, I had another tag so we went out looking for that big whitetail and couldn't find him anywhere. One of the ranchers said he saw it moving out yesterday, and it hasn't returned yet. So we came back around thinking that we weren't going to find anything for the night, until we came across the 5x5 whitetail below. Now he is a nice buck, we saw him off the back road and watched him go into a tree row. So we went around, got out of the truck and walked up on him to about 275 yards out. I leaned up on a hay bail and took my shot. Dumped him where he stood, took my eyes off him for a second, and my dad said he got back up, so I followed him with my scope, he ran about 50 more yards (hard to believe), and dropped in the trees. Went up to him gutted him out and couldn't believe he ran, his heart was blown in half literally haha. Then when we got him back to the truck we noticed his eye was missing to, he must have torn it when he went down. But thats it for my rifle bucks, now all I need is my archery and a few does and Im done. I love it... two nice clean kills in a row, doesnt get any better than that.
