You guys are talking about the Red Bull Air Racing. And while those guys are pretty fast AND performing aerobatics. The speeds are fairly slow. 200-250 mph max. The slowest class (average of about 180-200 mph) of aircraft that race here in Reno are probably the Biplanes and within that particular class there is a biplane that set a new record last year at near or over 300 mph.

:lol: i :hail: to your 50 mph faster races. I was just pointing out that they do these air race stuff in the bay and its bad ass. Props to you for getting the cool first hand experience.

Hey Trav. In no way am I bagging on Red Bull Air Racing. They are a pretty awesome site to see. And I'll tell you this. Pretty much none of the racer that race in Reno could do what those Red Bull guys do. And be competetive. However.................. The fastest aircraft that race in Reno exceed 500 MPH. So double what the Red Bull guys do. But they only do it in a left hand circle. Some skill required but not nearly what the Red Bull Racers require.
