California Drivers, Grab The Lube And Bend Over

HUGE California Traffic Tickets Fines Effective 01/06/2011

Please be extremely careful in your driving and car registration & insurance matters. State of California is broke and they are trying hard to squeeze all of us hard to collect money.

Effective immediately, if you do not stop at the red light, be ready to pay $436 in fines or if you pass a school bus with flashing red signals, you will be charged $616. The state of California is going for blood, so be extra careful in driving, You cannot afford messing with them. I have been hearing that Highway Patrols are under pressure to issue a lot more tickets than last year with at least 30% increase in fines over 2009, so beware of radar guns, highway and traffic cameras installed everywhere and the tougher enforcement of parking rules.

Just for your info, the next time you park in the handicapped zone, even for a minute, you will be looking at almost $ 1000 in parking tickets , so it'd better be worth it.

California needs money, so pay close attention to the rules of the road!

wow, and these are just the fines right? How much are the court cost? I know here in KY our fines are not that bad but when you add the $170 court cost on the of the fine that is when it hit you.

I was stopped for hands free when the law first went into affect and the $25 dollars turned into $80 with all the court fees, handling fees, processing fees, etc.. My buddy just got a ticket for no front license plate on the front of his car... I may need to put mine back on....

Unlawful sticker display on the back window? Do they have a list or is it the discretion of the officer...

the lawas are not anything new. they are always bumping up the prices for tickets tho. always have and always will :(

can someone confirm this one tho ? i hear that it is illegal to have the old VP style gas cans now and you have to have the red kind with the spout thingy on it. someone at cyclegear told me that its a 700 dollar fine... WTF if true

It is really the counties that have upped the fees. Now a few did see real increases, but most are only small changes from 2010.

The gas can thing is a problem though. I still have two five galloners that I bought pre ban. At the time the bill was passed it was not supposed to make the old pre ban cans illegal. I am pretty sure that it is a $700 fine to put fuel in a "utility jug."

After a bit or reading any pre ban fuel container is still OK. Doesn't mean that a cop can't write a ticket though.

so it is true... un fucking believable. So i could get a ticket for my VP cans ?

Copied from the CARB website-
This regulation allows manufacturers and distributors a one-year sell-through period for containers or spouts manufactured before January 1, 2001 if the containers or spouts are marked with the dates of manufacture. There is no requirement for owners of gas cans or spouts sold before that date to modify their gas cans or to scrap them and purchase new ones.

In other words, old cans are grandfathered in. If the L.E.O. wanted to be an ass, he could look for a manufacture date on your jug, if it's after the cutoff, you could be in trouble.
Too bad that my jugs are all scraped up, especially by where the build date was .....

WTF are yall talking about gas cans being illegal. I never heard such noise in my life. Short of putting gas in a milk jug I don't think there is anything like that here. Man, what the hell is this country coming to? When or where are the American people that used to run this or what used to be free country going stand up for our rights??:foul::rant::foul::rant:

Unfortunately, our country is over flowing with a liberal mindset and they are taking control. It's costing our freedom!

I was hauling arse from Palm Springs to Anahiem on I-10 over the holidays and got pulled over by the CHP. When I asked the Officer what the problem was he said I was doing 80 miles an hour. I told him, "Impossible, I haven't even been driving an hour" :prof:
ya gotta be sharp fellers, ya gotta be sharp.

I got a chickenshit ticket for crossing into the center turn lane about 4 car lengths before the white lines for the turn lane began! The ticket was $60, but the added court cost rapage brought it to $215! :foul:

Tickets are nothing but taxation without representation. A revenue generator used more for the cash money rather than any real protection of public safety.

I figured if anyone would be doing the the speed limit it would you officer." He told me to get my car fix and get out of here.:smirk: that quick enough on your feet?

^^^^ Pure Gold Jax

which reminds me of another little nugget. I was going down the TransCanada Highway a tad over the speed limit when I got lit up. I thought for a minute and picked up my speed thinking the cop wouldn't catch me. He kept picking up his speed and I realized I wouldn't outrun him so i pulled over and figured I might as well take my medicine. The cop comes up to my car and says, "what the hell were you thinking???" I said, "well Officer, my wife just left me for a cop a while ago and I thought you might be him trying to give her back to me..." You're welcome. :thumb:
