Should a Yamaha xt125x have oil in the stator\flywheel cover (left hand side)?

Everytime I start my XT125X it revs into space and I have checked for air leaks and replaced the boot that goes from the carb to the engine. I went to go check for an air leak on the left crank seal and there was a pool of oil in the stator cover, is that normal or it it the seal allowing oil into the cover? When I stand the bike up oil trickles out but I’m not sure if that’s the left over oil at the back of the stator cover. Please help!!!!A34F48EA-17E6-4187-BA6A-EE855FCAFBD8.jpeg

This is probably not ideal, but not an issue for a 4T, as it doesn't use crankcase air for induction.
When a 4T Revs up it's usually a carburetor stuck.
I imagine the throttle cable, throttle slide, or needle is binding. Check to be sure the throttle slide isn't installed backwards and that the throttle slide is completely closing in the carburetor.

But is there meant to be oil in the stator cover? or is another gasket/seal allowing the oil to seep through init the stator cover? Thats what I'm worried about right now :)

The oil is not supposed to be there, and can contaminate your electrical system. possibly a crank seal has gone bad.
It also will not affect the performance of the bike in any way, as long as you don't run out. -BIG DAN:thumb:

Ahhhhhh I get ya, so the oil could still be from the crank seal, but that isn't affecting the running state. I can't bloody find crank seals for sale anywhere!
 
Take the old seal to Bearing Services and they can match it up by the numbers on it.

Cheers for the help, but now I’m not even sure if there is a seal on the left hand side of the crank shaft because I cannot find a seal on the parts diagrams anywhere!!!
