Why can’t they just leave the bear alone? In Every state except NJ and Ca they leave it alone. One animal handler and 1 cop stay to make sure the bear doesn’t hurt itself.

While I find it hilarious to think someone would be assigned to escort a bear about town, and possibly a nice dinner...
The reality is, when a young bear finds itself in the middle of an enormous city with death valley on one side, an international airport to the other, and no way to find itself back to the distant forest.
It has, in effect, "Hurt Itself" and needs to be gently relocated to the san bernardino national forest where it has a fighting chance as one of our 30,000 california bears.

Remind's me of my 78 ford fiesta ... not that fast , but lot's of fun on back country roads ...... launched it off a levee doing about 50 ...... All I remember , Hendrix on the radio , grabbing 3 rd. gear.......
