It wasn't a failure, not totally anyway, it was known as the daylight gun, since even though the ammo belts looked the same up or down, it mattered to the gun, I wonder why they didn't just do something basic like paint the upside yellow
hell I'd do more than that, I love that gun, everything from its weirdness to the level of machine work present in every part of it, I've obviously never used one, but in 1909 any gun able to lay down 5,000 rounds in a morning had to be pretty goodIt would be a Great Wall hanger, although I would take it out at least once to the red neck firing range up where I ride in the summer.
