NV river riding

Can you roll right out of the parking lot there? Or do you stage just down the road from Avi? Hmmmm....one more place I need to check out. I was at the Avi back in August...in the water that is! Did lake Mojave and the river for a few days, but no riding bikes. I was looking all around wondering what the riding is like though. Thanks for sharing and positing up, now I know a little better. It will be a while before I load my bike and hit the road on trips like that. Keeping it sort of local till my bike and truck are sound. Have fun and report back. I still want that tire...just dont know when I can get it from you. Plus, it would be nice to plan a ride so we could have some fun AND I can pick up that tire. That is if you still have by the time we see each other again. Keep in touch and have fun at Avi! :thumb:

The Avi is bike friendly, lots of people who do Mojave road stay there, bike parking in front.
Secret staging area not too far away, handshake required.
Sort of local? I don't think they have that in So Cal.....
Truck too? Take care of biz and live that dream!
Thinking of Spangler Sunday, still got the oil leak? Can you change your tire out there?

Can I change a tire? :lol:hell no! Ive got those HD Bridgestones on and they are a bitch! It takes me all day to change a tire because I hate to do it and I suck at it. I'd rather buy a nice person a beer, make them some brownies or even give them my lunch, anything! Just as long as I dont have to do it:smirk:
Im hoping my oil leak will be fixed by tomorrow, we shall see. Im headed to Dove for the weekend with friends. I have a chick ride planned there on Sunday. Text me if you go to Spangler. Although I dont think it is very realistic that we'll see each other, and Im carpooling this trip.

chicks that will jack you up!

:thumb: Sun, are they all manly harley tatted up dirt and grease stained mustachioed chicks? :smirk:

PBK, glad you're stoked, me too! Wish it was going to be wet dirt-I'll be back out there when the rains come.
Larry Roessler calls it "his favorite desert".

I love the Avi resort. Great riding right out the parking lot if you have a plate. As some have said the place is bike friendly and even has a gated area near the entrance of the building that you can lock your bikes up. There was five of us in our group and none of us had any problems for two nights. They have great fireworks right at the store in the parking lot and an area to light them off.

The riding in the Avi area is superb for desert single track. We rode one and a half days and still wanted more. Watch out for the nasty cactus though. They kinda creep up on your when you hauling ass. Also be careful as we ran into quite a few 6 foot drop off cliffs in the area. I can hardly wait to go back in January for our annual 1000 mile Dual Sport from Ridgecrest to Avi and back.

Baja, Nope....all girly, straight and hot!:smirk:

Rock, That sounds like a fun annual trip!!

What the heck?? That song PBK "hot dog to the head?" Im watching the riding not paying attention to the song until I hear that, then the song became distracting. More video of cool riding there:thumb:

BTW, hung out at Santa Veronica with Roessler after the Tecate Hare Scramble last year. He kicked ass in that race and won on a Kawi 450. That guy is just about as cool as one can be:hail: Not arrogant like a lot of the racers. How great it would be to have a Husband with race trucks, bikes and a lifestyle like his! His family is very nice too.

SO you guys going to meet up? Have some fun for me and, post up some pics or vids if you can.
