The Hurt Locker - Movie Review

So I ended up taking last night off and watched some movies, have to take a break from you knuckleheads every once in awhile. :P

Ok so I finally watched "The Hurt Locker". I'm really into war type movies and the reason I hadn't watched this movie before (it was released in 2008) is because I was under the impression it was like Jarhead (<-- Which completely and utterly SUCKED). But :wow: was I ever surprised, the movie is a 2 hour 11 minute pure adrenaline rush. I'd have to say that probably 90% of the movie takes place out in the field.

The movie is basically about a 3 man EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Team and you're just along for the ride. The camera shooting style makes it feel like you're actually there and the sound track, well I'm trying to remember here but I don't think there was any music, just real background noise. :thumb:

The only thing I didn't really like is for some reason they make the regular infantry look stupid, not sure why. :noidea:

Here's a couple clips and pictures.

Yes this is a great movie. I never heard of the movie until I saw it on the plane one day coming home from Hong Kong. I got home and bought it and watched it again. I really like the movie.:thumb:

:thumb: It's on my list of Blu-rays to buy, along with Green Zone.

good movie but nothing will ever compare to full metal jacket... i have prolly seen full metal jacket more times then any other movie. It just never gets old to me.

That would be Blackhawk Down for me, I seriously don't know how many times I've watched it.

i think PBK's brother was an extra in Black Hawk Down... maybe he was or maybe he wasnt im not clear on it completley but i know they used real marines for extras and they did film his brother im just not sure if they used him in any of the scenes or not.

If I remember right this was also the first time that the military let actors go through boot camp just to get prepared for a movie.

That's what the movie guy was saying, however it got pretty good reviews and won some awards.
