No. It's just in the same spot so I'm guessing. And yes the one bike has a wire harness

I don't have any useful exp with the older xl100 engines so just putting it out there, is there any way an xr100 top end could be bolted to an xl100 bottom end? Thus explaining the 2 wires to CDI and also the xl serial number??

Just noticed this, at the end of the first schematic above there is a comment stating this may refer to 1981 and newer model sequence so always do the abc's, A.B.C. Always be checking! :forman:
