Other YZ426 Build

Well he's screwed now, if it wasn't suggested he replace the seals and he didn't, I bet they'd be ok, but now that's it was suggested......well he has to now, there is no friggin way they will not fail now that the fates have been woken up and have been made aware of this situation....never tempt the fates.

LOL omg I love it

Let's review here.....I don't think your picking up what I'm laying down here. I said your screwed .......then,you said I love it.....there only two ways to make sense of this, either you totally misunderstood my seemingly crystal clear assessment of your predicament ....or and this is more likely by the way....you are a sadist.

Hmmmm...
Can I get a second or third opinion on this guys?
In my humble opinion,
As far as a shocks or forks are concerned, to change the fluid...
If I remove the inner stanchion or rod from the seal, I will change the seal with new.
If I can drain and refill the fluid without removing the inner stanchion or rod from the seals, then I won't fix what isn't broke.

As far as I know if you empty the oil it has to be taken apart Completely cause of the inner chamber and under the bladder...

Ill just sleep on it... see what my next pay check looks like and decide,

Night and Day difference when I did it to my 01. You said you wanted to make it like a whole new bike, passing up the rear shock is half assing it, and yes, even if there's no oil leaking the oil will still be broken down and contaminated, it gets hot in there, just because most people run their suspension components till they leak doesn't mean it doesn't need to be done.

I was prepping the engine cases for the new bearings, and had forgotten the first time we put the cases together we ended up breaking a bolt off in a deep case bolt hole. So now that I have them apart again I went at this with a punch, a MAP torch, easy outs, chisel and hammer.
