The 500cc two stroke was designed for Motocross. Now it is time to bring it back. More and more rider's like myself are doing so. You see it everywhere you look someone is doing a conversion of a CR500af or KX500af. They are know putting the 500cc two stroke engines in all makes of bike. KTM500exc is one bike in which I posted a video of. To where the owner immediately tore out the 500 four stroke engine and installed the CR500 in its place. So why does Godzilla always return? Because you can not kill him... I know

From what I have read about the Suzuki RM500. It was a very fast machine. Perhaps even faster than the CR and KX. I have had a difficult time finding much info on the Suzuki RM500 dirt bike. I did find this video there isn't much out there when it comes to the Suzuki RM500. I would think that finding a Suzuki RM500 would be fun and very collectable to restore. I do not have a restoration on a RM500. I just think it would be cool to find one. It would be interesting to see one in pristine condition.Can't wait to read your restoration thread since you seem so enthusiastic
