This thread just got better than the Hotties Thread.

Who said you have to sit and slowly shoot to practice accuracy? :P

I haven't been to the range in awhile, but when I do practice it's a lot of double/triple taps. Unlike in the movies it takes more then one hit to drop a BG, which is why my goal is to get 2-3 shots (in rapid session) on the target ASAP.

Awesome!

James, you ought to look into real combat and defensive style training with your shooting! That straight arm target stuff is good for hitting 10X's, but unrealistic in the real world!

If you really want an AR style rifle, I have a pre-ban, genuine COLT Match H-BAR, with the trigger jeweled by "Accuracy Speaks" for a precise 2.25lb pull (with receipt and serial number), tons of aftermarket goodies, a zillioin mags, two scopes interchangeable on a custom top, one is 3x9, one is 4x10 with an illuminated reticle, hard case and 600 rounds (at least!) of ammo! You need this! I whack ground pigs at 200-300 yards all day, and can put lead on target at 500 yards with a good rest!

The straight arm technique is very accurate, especially if you're a little guy like me, keeps the recoil manageable (remember not everyone is 6'6" with bear paws :P). However you're right in that in most situations that probably won't be the best option. Either you just won't have the time bring it up that high or space constraints. For example if your target is 3-5ft away it'd be kind of silly to take it out that far.

nice looking gun but why? what would you use it for beside tartget practice? I think I could target practice with a .22 if that is all I was going to use it for. much cheaper to shoot.:thumb:

You don't understand the "cool" aspect :smirk:

I have a .22 that I love for target shooting. No scope and you can dominate anything. :thumb:

Because it's my 2nd amendment right to bear arms, plus I really want to get myself an assault rifle before the monkeys in DC decide to bring the ban back. :foul:

BTW I don't have any plans on getting one any time soon, I'd get a new bike before that, I'm just daydreaming. :P

I have always wanted a AR-15

i have absolutely no reason to need one at this point in time but still they are bad ass and so easily customized ... i want one
