Some kickstart gears require slow engagement before applying much force to the lever, or they will slip past the teeth.
If you feel it engage and then let go halfway through the kick, then it may have an issue inside.

Thanks! I checked the main kickstart assembly, and it seems to be in perfect condition. If there is something deeper in, what would it be? Thanks!

I don't assume anything is wrong with it.
In the video,
the first kick you engaged the teeth, then applied force to the gears.
the second kick, you slammed it before engaging the teeth of the gear.

I hope you’re right, but it does it sometimes even when I start gradually…

Piston Rings came in, hope I am able to get them in tonight! (because then, it'll be almost done, it just needs the whole electrical system after that)

Fixed the Kickstart!! I have a hunch that it was installed incorrectly. I took it out, inspected it, and then put it back in (kinda hard to do) and now it works flawlessly! I bet the spring slipped out of place the last time the crankcase was put on.

Question, what do these connect to? Gas comes out of them when I turn the fuel on.
