Yesterday at the Track

Kinda cool when your son goes to the track after school and 2 hours later you get an email with a picture of him with the 2011 AMA Supercross Champion!!

Wish my hub had taken a pic of them on the track. My son said he was incredible, past him like a bullet. Thinking he must be as tall as me, my son (14) is about 5' 7-8." Bumm'd I didn't go, but good thing I wasn't there. Would've embarrassed the whole family making him sign our bikes, helmets, jerseys, bodies. :lol:

I think that most people think that these guys are tall, same with NASCAR drivers. I met Justin Brayton last year and I always thought he was tall....but not so much after meeting him. :lol: Same with RC, what is he like 5' 5"? :noidea:

:thinking: Lower center of gravity, less weight (why spend 5k on TI bolts when you can just get a smaller rider?), more aerodynamic, etc... :P:smirk:

It seems like a lot of great riders arnt so big. Jeff Ward is a shorty too. It's proof that it is all about skills and technique. Look for some footage from that day on TransWorld Motox's site. There might be some.
