The link doesn't work ? I found some on ebay for 100$ but there must be cheaper on the used market.. I bought the bike for 650$ so.. lol

What's the difference, do they retro fit ? I am unsure if my bike is a 1994 or a 1996. It seems like it's a rebuild from two bikes... Help, how can I tell ?!

Did you check the vin?.....if you look up motorcycle vin finder, you can use one of these to enter the vin to at least tell what year the frame is, not a honda guy so can't tell you what to look for on an engine swap.thats probably as far as I can go on XR advice.

VIN is h2md2223tm500013 from the papers. From the bike it's JH M0606HK 2 35. Spaces are unidentifyable characters... Don't know if that helps.

Thanks but I know it has been rebuilt from a 1996 with a 1994 so I still don't know how to be sure which kickstart arm I need.

Post some pictures of it. You can buy a new OEM kick starter for less than 100 for either engine. They don't use the same kick starter from the factory. But either one could possibly work.
