What did you do to your bike today?

What did I do to my biek today........................nothing today but I walked around it Sunday AM to get into the cabinet in the garage where the weed killer is stored. Then again when I forgot to grab the spray bottle that's sitting right next to the cabinet. Then I looked at it Sunday evening when i was feedign the hounds! YUP, still there! :thumb:.........:foul:.....still won't start!

Well not today but Sunday. I broke one of my seat brackets on my last ride, so instead of buying a new seat, I took the Idea off the KTM65sx my son used to have and installed/made a seat pin for quick removal. I got a 5/16 clevis pin, a D-ring, two 5/16 washers, barrel pin, 5/16 flat fender washer and cotter pin. I drilled a 5/16 hole through my seat and fender. Then installed the D-ring onto the clevis, then washer and pushed it through the seat, put barrel pin on the bottom to hold on the seat. I cut off the excess clevis pushed through the fender and installed the fender washer and cotter key. Bamm,,, I can pull out the cotter key and have my seat off in 10 seconds or less with no tools. I am really digging this, no more looking for that damn allen wrench. :prof: I am going to do this on Clay's YZ85 too. I will do a more detailed "How To" when I do the YZ in case anyone else might be interested.

I also decided to sell my wifes YZ85 and get her something a little more trail friendly. I am going to get her a KLX140L. So me and shortshift did a motor swap and tires and rims swap to his YZ85 since her bike has brand new tires and his had a 80cc cylinder on it. So now his bike is an 85cc instead of and 80cc. The buyer will at least get a motor with a new top end on it since we just got his bike together with only 3 rides on it.
That is sweet, but doesn't that rub the under carriage a little? I will ride way back on the seat when cruising down some fast trails or roads.

Damn that's genius JAX. :thumb: Since you missed out on the cellphone-inside-a-laptop thing, better go patent this. :P

@CDA, that's the first thing I thought. Pounding through some whoops only to have that metal piece nail you in the :moon:. :cripple:

No, actually it seats down into the foam and it's even with... if not lower than, the hard rubber logo on the seat.

pounding through the whoops, :noidea: I don't go that fast :smirk:

Oh and as far as patent that, I got that idea from my sons KTM65 he had, damn goldfish had it first, so I can't claim it.

Edit: and JYD who says that's my hand? but it is and :finger: :smirk: I don't soak my hand in Palmolive like some sissy girl. Thats the hand of a working man.:prof: don't forget it

If you must know all these things, I put on new protaper grips and today it is going to get a thorough oil and filter change along with a good air filter cleaning. It needs it after the dust we ate at the Geek ride. Then we wait for the next adventure which will not be soon enough in this heat.

I tore apart the carb on the 85 one more time.....changed the jetting, lowered the clip, checked the reeds, put it back together, kicked it, cursed it. Then drank beer.
