This is one reason I prefer to do all the work myself even though it does not give the boy much hands on time. If he really shows a big interest in doing things then I let him but I supervise from a close position. :smirk:

Same here. I have a built in torque indicator in my hand. Maybe for head bolts and critical places but for the most part I just use my own judgement. Never had anything come loose or strip on me. :thumb: Well, maybe not never but.... :smirk:

By hand means 1/2 to 1/4 turn before stripping. :prof:

Washed mine between rain drops, followed up with Carl on his 6 month review, put it away in the shed and started to gather things for the TE450. She is comming together.

I have installed my share of thread repair inserts. I usually do pretty well with calibrated hand method, but it's far from infallible. I've also failed with a torque wrench when I didn't notice the "click."

Hope it's an easy fix there Tim.

After following everyone in OW for T-day week, my air filter was nice and dirty. However, I tend to sit off the dust stream more than others. P84Jr Jr, looked like he was just pouring dirt on it. Now, mine and his are fresh and ready for next ride.

Absolutely nuttin HOWEVER, I did go and pick up my Bronco yesterday from my buddies "compound in JV... what I know it needed.

1) Steering checked, losing (now lost) power steering (leaks, but don't know where yet.
2) Needs to be smogged if keeping street legal
3) Replace rear window motor

what I didn't know about until now.
1) Broken drivers side window... had to be an accident, door still locked, everything's still in it and if they were to have opened and shut the door, the glass would have fallen inside... most of ti except a 6" dia hole was in place.
*** My thoughts on correcting the window problem... REMOVE THE DOORS :prof:... :thumb: problem solved!
2) No brakes.... :eek:... no problems leading up to this finding. Told when left to sit for a period of time the fluid which is corrosive AND can gather moisture when sitting can cause havoc within the braking system... thankfully I trailered it home.

:lol: yeah, right... when pigs fly... :shocked:. for sure a project... considering 1 of 2 things... stripping it al the way down to he bare bones and building a low budget crawler OR..??? :thinking:
