What did you do to your bike today?

:gibbs:
Nah, just the rekluse. Oh and traction control from the MOTO gp bikes. That's fuckin cheating too.
Oh and don't even get me started with magic buttons @Rack @jackson409 :smirk:

Some just arent attuned to progress!!! But motogp shouldnt have any rules other than displacement as far as I am concerned. Traction control is something you can buy stock now, and you wouldnt see it for 30 more years if the racers hadn't done it first and made the public want it. If you look at how long motorcycles went unchanged (before any of us were riding included) you will see how lucky we are the competition made better bikes by progressing.

Formula racing has it's place, but if you are going to ban 4-900 dollar clutches for the amateurs I think I would say ban suspension upgrades that can easily double that, and engine upgrades that can easily triple that as well as costing more each week to maintain.

So when I plunk down $9300 at the local Kawi dealer I'm gettin the same exact bike as RV? Or is it the hype they sell you on by including neat little diamond coated fork legs and titanium foot pegs?
Do you know what doesn't come with my $9300 Kawasaki 450? Kawasaki is $42 million R&D department.

well if they sold clones of RV's bike we couldn't afford them in any sense of the word.

If you take what they sell today and get the bike set up for you by the same people he had, and blue printed you could probably go from one to the other and not notice too much. Some people expect to have the same thing the same season the factory riders do. Just line the ams tho, they get personalized. A coie of years from now you will be able to buy the same lightweight pieces or have them made.

What Palmer said is spot on, RV's suspension settings would probably kill us mere mortals.

as far as what you're getting at, yes, we do see quite a bit make its way from RV's bike to ours over time.
