Details are sketchy but the JCR Honda team of Timmy Weigand and Colton Udall was declared the overall winners at the Tecate SCORE International San Felipe 250 on March 9. The Weigand/Udall bike was the third bike to cross the finish line, but after reviewing all of the competitors' tracking data, a bevy of penalties were issued and the Honda team was announced the winners.
The KTM team of Kurt Caselli and Ivan Ramirez finished second, followed by the Kendal Norman/Ryan Abbatoye team (Honda).
The Robby Bell/David Pearson/Steve Hengeveld (Kawasaki) team finished fourth overall, while the Mike Brown/Toby Price KTM team rounded out the top five overall.

You should read Robby Bells facebook page. He always does really nice race reports and the one for the SF 250 is the best one yet. A lot of Controversy this year and I think they should have kept the finishing positions on how they crossed the line. If you are going to penalize some teams for not stay on course then you should penalize them all.

In which case Mike Brown and Kendall Normal should be one two. Based on what Robby is saying.

You seem to be one of the most informed so I figure I'll ask you

Why hasn't Norman been picked up by a team yet? :noidea:

A friend of mine was invited to a riding class put on by Kendall and he said he is a Red Bull employee. They pay his bills. So he is on a team if you look at it that way.

I don't know why anybody wouldn't pick him up. He is stupid fast and the fans seem to like him a lot.

Yeah I do not think he is bike brand tied, though he does have a couple of last year Honda's he rides.

this is what I meant, he's really free to ride whatever bike he feels like buying, I know he did some extreme enduro's last year in europe on a KTM 300

Either do I.
I understand there is a bit of bad blood between him and Caselli for reasons I'm not aware of, but one would think any team that wanted a shot at wrestling 1x away from JCR would be knocking on his door

It will be interesting to see how the next to baja races play out with the new rules. I think the advandage JGR had over the other teams is the knowledge of all the lines on the Baja Peninsula. Now that there is a 500FT limitation to the race course some of those lines will be illegal come race day. So we will see.
