2 Stroke Vintage Mini Build (RM80)

I've been moving into my house the past week, but I'm still working on cleaning everything. I am talking to a company about reproduction oem decals for the shrouds, tank, swingarm, shock label, fork label, warning label, and gas to oil ratio label. I've been taking my time on making a stencil for the seat letters also. I could only find one that said "RM" and the 85' model said "RM80". :thumb:

Hmmmm,
If I remember correctly... up until 82 they said rm80 then in 83 they went to just RM and in 85 they went back to RM80 and in 86 it said Suzuki on the seat

Yep! You're right mihylo! All the covers I found were made for 83-85 models and have rm on it which is incorrect. I'm shipping plastics to evo-mx on Monday. I've spent just as much time on the computer with this build than I have in the shop. All the parts are NOS so far, so I guess that's a good thing haha. I've sourced all the parts except the bands for holding the fork guards on, so it should be assembly time from here on out.

Started cleaning the front fender and fork plastics, I also cleaned the triple clamps, rebuilt the bearings, and greased them. I put the forks on as well but forgot to take a picture. Plastics are cleaning up nice though!

How long does it take you to clean fork guards
Uh, not that long. But i'm shaving, sanding with 220 all the way to 700 and then wiping down with WD. I've been busy lately too Emily, i'm going back to college on Sunday and getting the other bike ready to take with me. I've also been doing a bunch of ride alongs with police officers because i'm thinking about becoming a police officer.

But, here are some more pictures.
