Damn Nedge, you are an Animal!
That boat was part of the family for more than 40 years. Hopefully someone will bring it back to life.
Why didn't you guys restore it? Dang, that would have been awesome!!!
I lost interest in it back in the early 90's. It was getting to be too much work and too expensive for me. Plus, the boating scene was really starting to take off it seemed. The crowds were getting worse and it was just getting to be less fun for me. I decided to focus my recreation time on just one thing: my motorcycle.
As long as it brought you the squish you wanted out of it, that is the second day of happiness in a boat owners life.
With how low the river is, you would probably not have much fun anymore. Personal crafts are the way to go now, and just make them as badassery as you can.

I hear you Timo. My Son and 2 of his buddies are coming to the cabin this weekend. I'm estimating about $300 in gas being burnt on pure jackassery (in one day). It makes a Fella wonder why he doesn't drink more...
Still, I have a giant soft spot for cool stuff that is my age. That boat was awesome! I hope the new owner gives it a new life.
