Just a couple more copy quotes: I have been laughing my ass off reading this thread. First off, Turd will never be head ass hole, Tim holds that. Nor can you be shortened to ass, I hold that. You can't be Dick because Rack holds that. But, Turtle Dick, you are all over that. Why I have not chimed in until today: I have been out at the Palmerosa fixing and working, going to bed at 8:30, getting up at 7:30 and busting ass non-stop. As for all the BS in this thread: like CDA said, anyplace is good on a dirt scooter, with or without a bunch of friends. Now, I can enjoy warm weather and light winds the best and even better with my little toy hauler. So, with that, I vote we go to the desert and ride our seats off: park on the other side of the road, desert, state if you want. It really doesn't matter. Have fun, and enjoy. If Prescott is not to cold and raining/snowing, I might just spend it there anyway. Plenty of riding and zero crowds.

thats what rubbed me wrong in the first place... if it is supposed to be a DBA meet up its not about what I want its about what the group as a whole wants.Sand, Rocks, FRQ, Single Track, gnarly ups, Gnarly downs, fast, Slow, endless whoops, cliffs, train tracks, etc....Whatever it is, I will ride it and I like it. As long as fuel is being passed through my single cylinder scooter and dirt is flying off the back of my tire, I am happy. And it is cool to be sharing this great time with other enthusiasts.
So, stop bitching about each other and plan where "you" want to go and go there. Let us know where you are going and you never know where everyone will meet up. Do I like a big gathering?.....Yes I do, but I am set on my location for my reasons and that is where I will be heading. If the DBA family wants to come hang with me and call it the "Official 3rd Annual T-Day Ride" thenIf not, I am still fine with that and have love
for you all still.
PS, there might even be some CDA desert racing tips and tricks shared on this happy weekend....
Ok, lets pick a spot like Tim said, FRQ, Sand Wash, and switchbacks. Sounds good to me.
The issue we have here is that we do not have a DBA rep on the west cost. James and BK are the 2 reps so if they show up some where and call it a DBA ride then, that is what it is. Lets say Trav is the "Official west cost DBA rep", if he says he is holding the DBA T-Day ride in JV, then that is where the official DBA T-day ride is. If the rest of us go else where, then we are just riding/camping with friends. From what I see here, it is a mixed bag of DBAers going in different directions so who gets to call it the "3rd Annual DBA T-Day Ride"? The group with the most DBA members?
I do not have the answers here but I will tell you this:
1. I am going to the Spangler area for T-Day. - could be the football field, Prospector's camp or Dirt Diggers.
2. Not sure what day I am heading out yet or coming home as I am on a virgin single track of life right now and nothing is solid.
3. I may or may not have an extension to my family with me which means I will most likely be eating Turkey Dinner in my trailer enjoying my family's company.
4. I will be burning fuel in my scooter and in the fire...
5. I will have fireworks and Chinese Lanterns for night time excitement.
6. You can be guaranteed that you are never safe around the Fire is CDA sporadically starts running away..
7. I most likely will be waking up early at least one day and becoming color blind and going out on a non novice loop...
8. There may be a ride that has some KOM training mixed in..
9. There will be a ride where grown men and women will be touching dolls..
10. There will be plenty of stories being told around the fire and possible some vintage race stories from CDA and CDA Sr.
11. There will be good company enjoying the weather no matter what it brings.
12. There will be some trail side battles...
13. There will be Dirt Nap pictures being taken.
14. There will or will not be a salmon run to see what shape the stream is in..
15. Etc, etc, etc......
I know we will be having a good time. Will I call it a DBA gathering or 3rd Annual DBA T-Day? Time will tell.

we could all do a camping trip and acll it whatever we want... if its going to be a DBA meet then it should be what everyone wants and we all sacrafice a little to be there.... not what 1 guy wants or what is convienent..... id like to see a DBA meet other then spangler but if thats where everyone else is going i will consider.

but i thought the point of the thread is to maybe get giant DBA gathering otherwise its no different then last year.
sounds like people are too stubborn to go out of their way or their comfort zones to make that happen tho.
