The only Big Name manufactures that still produce 2T 250's that sell NEW in the US, is KTM, and Yamaha. And you cannot really compare the 250F to the 250 2T. In a stock setting the 250 2T makes 30% more power. As much as I hate to admit this. But you cannot compare the 2T machines against the 4T machines. We all know that the 125 2T was replaced by the 250F and the 250 2T was replaced by the 450F. The newer 4T machines just have and make more power than the 2T machines in stock applications. Even in modified race prepped set ups the 4T makes more power. Thats one of the reasons they dont run 2T bikes in the SX. They just dont have enough power to do some of the jumps with the short run up area. Out doors is a little different. But even in the PRO ranks 4T machines are the dominate bikes. Cant even recall the last time I saw a 2T machine race in a PRO outdoors race. And in the shoot outs, because there are really only 2 companies that make 2T machines sold here in the US. It would just be a waste of time to do a 2T 4T shoot out. Oh and by the way the shoot outs are for brand new factory machines from the factory that just barely have the suspension set up for the riders. Not your 500cc aluminum frame monstrosity.
