SoCal Forest RR (10-9-10)

After a week of 100% humidity and some rain up top, we needed to check out the forest...

Krusty’s chauffeur dropped him off at my house before 6 and The Tubinator and I already had bikes loaded. I took the sardine-position in the back seat and we pointed the truck north. No wind, ideal temps in the staging zone. Plenty of camping units but not many riders out. I said that it would be perfect weather … as long as the XR650 will start … it didn’t, but it was. It finally came to life after about 39 kicks and a few animated gestures. Did some ST out of the staging area and up a ridge. We all seemed to have similar carb issues up on the ridge with all that moist air until someone said “fuel screw” … it was a magic moment. After a couple miles, I noticed my GPS dropped out and soon after the magic button wouldn’t bring the WR to life … CRAP, I gotta kick that thingy on the right side now. Got to the zone, stashed gas and gained some elevation. Perfect wet dirt on all north-facing trails so decided to try out the new Hero ...

After a quick jet down-size and stringing together a series of trails, we were cresting 7500 foot elevation. Zooking through the tight trees, the same branch that almost ripped my helmet off the last time snagged me again! Tubinator whips out his saw and neutered it for me ... problem solved. Finished off a 30 mile loop up top and decided to drop-in to the Ponderosa. Met “The Kingpin” of OHV-friendly land sales sporting a “piss on the Sierra Club” shirt … God bless America. Patron shots capped the day and it was time to bail. On the way down, we ran into one very pissed-off Western D-back. He really wanted to play by the sound of his 10-stack rattle.

Western Diamondback...

I'm an obvious newbie with the "embeded" video thing ... :blah: ... lots of excuses I haven't begun to use yet.

I hope it's fixed now!

You're in the loop for Nov!

That is my kind of ride! And moist dirt too double drool!!:drool:

Not :naughty:my kind of snake though.

Im trying to figure Vimeo out still. How do you link without everyone else seeing all that is in your vimeo acct.?

I hope someday I will be invited to ride there.

The only way to allow the world to see some vids and keep your other ones private is to have a second account and set-up the security under "settings" then "preferences", IMO. :prof:

Any 'puter-savvy person can figure out how to see the rest of your folders even if you do it the way I embedded it above.

Just don't keep any underage porn in your other folders and you won't have a problem. -BIG DAN:thumb:

You would need a bike that doesn't drip oil and has some tread left on the tires....

Thanks for the vimeo tip nbeze. Are you computer saavy? :smirk:

No problem there Dan!

Yea, yea :poke:Baja! I got tired of the oil leak and bald tire, that was getting boring so I decided to blow up my head too!! Im thinking No meat on the front sprocket is a nice addition as well...:banghead: Im out for a while I think.

Yep...:pout: The SUN is NOT shining these days:cry:
