2 Stroke Sick of paying for power valves for RMX250's

My 99 RMX 250 decided to break the powervalve, it's different to the 98, having more a flat guillotine type valve, it's in 3 parts and found if you modify the valve by welding the two sliding parts it will prevent the valve from ever hitting the piston. It wasn't straight and simple though, the valve was built up and positioned to provide as much low down torque as possible, it has a FMF pipe and silencer along with a RM carb etc and goes well, providing good torque. Throw the spring away that is in the power valve too, wish I took photo's but needed to get the bike back together ASAP.

Power valves cost over 400 bucks here and they break in no time, if you strengthen the old one and modify it, it should last for ages.
