South Salton Sea is Drying up

Remember that the lake was dry until some mismanagement of the Colorado river back in 1910 or something like that. The river ended up diverted into the dry lake bed for a couple of years giving us the lake we know today.
It's common over the last 100k years for it to go dry and for the Colorado to overflow into it and to become a lake. Unfortunately, it's doubtful that the Colorado would ever overflow into it again unless someone makes a mistake.

Sad. Yes don't count out the Alamo river either. This will be a bad thing if it dries up. All the bad stuff mentioned will be left in sand/dust form to freely blow around into your lungs when a wind storms arises and scattered through the riding areas out there.

The sea was man made, not naturally and to let it dry up will not be a good thing.
