All Rock Monster is coming to the Desert!

Well, I won't be able to make the T-Day ride but I will be leaving NorCal the day after Christmas and staying through the New Year. I'm not sure what my camp/sleeping arrangements will be yet. I would like to set up some rides/tours with some of you SoCal experts on the area so I can get the maximum experience. I am looking into renting a place in Ridgecrest or possibly renting an RV. The purpose of this thread is to put the wheels in motion so that I can make my plans.

Last years trip was epic and I expect no less than the same from this one. If any of you saw my TT thread about that trip I'm sure will know what I mean.

Day 1, driving and arrival in the area on Dec 26:wave:
Day 2, Riding Day
Day 3, Riding Day:banana:
Day 4, Riding Day:banana:
Day 5, Riding Day:banana:
Day 6, 1/2 ride and then plan for the evenings festivities. I'm working on trying to get my band to come down and play that night in the desert at Spangler.:rocker:
Day 7, Big breakfast/hangover recovery 1/2 day ride:blush:
Day 8, Riding Day:banana:
Day 9, Pack up and head back to the mountains and trees.

Of course there will be a shitload of drinking and safety meeting in between and possibly during rides.
There will also be a fair share of baffoonery I'm sure.

If anyone has any of these days available and would like to give tours to a few NorCal guys, post up and let me know what day and what area. I am willing to travel to Jawbone, Dove, Spangler, etc.etc. Thanks:thumb:

I missed you last year. I'll have to rectify that situation this year. I've got that week off also, but my folks will be in town. I'll work out something.

Bummer, I'm going to miss it. New Years is Ocotillo Wells for the week. I'm sure there'll be more trips to the South later in the year for you, so I'll catch you then.

Damn! Would love to hook up and ride with you someday. But, I, too will be down at Ocotillo Wells for Christmas and New Years. Enjoy your trip, and remember: safety comes first.:busted:

I will be keeping an eye on tis thread for i never know what i will be doing one day to the next but if i am free IT's on like donkey kong :smirk:

Right on PBK. With as many people that are interested this just may turn into another DBA big ride like T-Day

Ok, so I am sure now that I will not have a RV to stay in so it is going to have to be either tent camping or hotel rooms. I am tossed on which way to go. It also appears that all of my riding buddies are flaking out of this trip because of New Jobs and such. Anyhow, I am still trying to figure out a way to make it down there for this trip regardless. It makes it hard with no one to split the gas a and such with. So at the moment the trip is in total chaos and I will have to do some serious figuring out to make it happen.

Is anyone else going to be down there at this time of year.
I already have a half a chord of fire wood reserved in Ridgecrest just for the week I'm there. I have not intention of being cold.

..............half a chord.............:

So no band? Waahhhh.
My lady wants to go to Laughlin for the holidays, hide out of town in a warm casino with riding close by. Interested?

That may be an option. Are you planning on staying at the AVI Resort. If so, I know some seriously bitchen riding right outside the Resort area. You could ride for days and not get bored. That is a good idea. I went last year for four days and had a blast.
