if you look downward at the transfer area in the right side crank case you can see a hole. that lets the fuel air mix get blown down the seal side of the bearing. take a look down that hole or run a piece of wire down it to see how far in you can go without interfering with that hole. hence the warning you got about cutting off oil to the bearing.
The seal should be a mm below even with the case.
