Here is the new front yard and dry stream bed. I have since added some other plants and these will all spread to cover up some of the bark mulch. All plants are drought tolerant and will not grow into monsters so I will not have to bother with future trimming either and I water now about 2 times a week with 60% less sprinklers. Not sure why the back yard picture is small mode but here it is as well.

I wanna know how he keeps all that red bark from getting blown around and discoloring from the sun.
The bark is 3 or more inches deep and we do not have winds strong enough to move the stuff. I can take my blower and blow leaves from some of the trimmings and if careful the bark does not move much at all and it settles in after a while. And the bark has changed in color some what as the sun bleaches it but I personally think it looks better, more natural. It was all to much reddish orange but I knew it would change color and also when things grow it will become less bark and more plant life which is the goal, like walking out into a nature preserve, or Rack's house. :thumb:

Big difference and much better. You did a really great job. We zeroscaped our front yard too. It was kind of fun but a lot of hard work. We need to redo a section now from freeze and overgrowth. It's just a small yard, nothing like either of your yards.

It sure looks like a great place to have gatherings:cheers:
