hoeflake hit 140 in a Shelby once, it wasn't so much that 140 was all too terribly fast, it had something to do with the fact that at the top of the on ramp we were doing 10 mph......

Fastest Ive ever been on the ground was about 180MPH in my brothers race car, on a closed course with a helmet. Fastest of gone on the street, hiway, freeway, ect, about 130MPH. In the dirt....... dunno but it was plenty fast enough, but I'll guess at like 70-80MPH. On the water 75MPH on one of those supercharge SeaDoo things. Im hear to tell you crashing on the water at that speed isnt to bad as long as you dont come to a sudden stop. Somewhere I have video of me skipping across the water like a flat stone.

Fastest I've ever been caught was 71 in a 65... :smirk:-BIG DAN
I find it shocking and stunning, yes stunning, that you got pulled over for going 6 mph over. WTF!!! In any event, the last time the Clampdown pulled me over he said, "Nedge, do you realize you were doing 120 miles per hour?" I said, "impossible officer, I haven't even been out an hour!" He looked at me and said, "dang you Nedge, foiled again." So then, with a twinkle in my eye, I rev'd every cubic inch of that 427 and dropped into a full gravel spitting, Tarmac eating, Hoosier Slick smoking burnout and waved good-bye. As I was leaving, I was sure I heard him say, "Dang that Nedge is one heck of cool dude even if he is a speed limit breaking hombre." :thumb:

Me too... the officer also thought I was trying to avoid the toll as I was lane-sharing through the toll sensors. But I showed him I had my transponder and was just lane sharing. Bastard still gave me a speeding ticket...

I have seen a GPS verified top speed of 164mph on my 2005 SV1000S at california speedway. After turn 17 of the infield, you roll out onto the nascar turn 3. Thirty five degree banking means you are hanging off "under" the bike. Down the straight and a 180* hairpin back into the infield. Left side of everyone's tires... gone.-BIG DAN:thumb:

I have been clocked at 172mph with my 1987 GSXR1100. I have also had speeding tickets with it. I was called to the Sheriff's station and interrogated by the Sheriff. They were unable to pull me over because I ran. So believe this or not. They gave me a speeding ticket of 117mph in all the speed zones from my work place to my home. I was able to get out of them all for only one reason. They had no idea how fast I was traveling. So they gave me tickets for 117mph. That was the speed in which they put on the tickets and police report for how fast they were going to try and catch me. They are unable to travel over 90mph in a chase. So they had to drop all the speeding tickets.

What were they driving, ford escorts? Or did they have they're emergency brake on? Or we're they driving on flat tires? Maybe they put diesel in they're gas tanks by accident, we're they diving in reverse?what cop car since the Eisenhower administration couldn't hit 90 mph?

In the event of a high speed chase. The officer's in NY are not allowed to pursue over 90mph. Weather it was true or not, I didn't care as long as I didn't go to jail. My attorney was able to get the tickets dropped is all I know. I paid over 2,300 bucks so I did not go to jail.
