That parts fiche is kind of misleading. The bearings make up quite a few of those items as an assembly.

So you need a bearing and seal kit. I recommend All Balls unless you are set on OEM replacement parts.

So from the bottom of the lower clamp it goes
Seal
Bearing
Race
Frame Neck
Race
Bearing
Seal
Nut
Top Clamp
Clamp Bolt

I just did this yesterday, but didn't snap any photos for you.
Here's an insightful video.

Oddly enough my first thought was that it was exactly like a bmx bike with all individual parts. Atleast it's what it appears to look like in tht schematic. :noidea:

The new bearings will fit right in.
Don't think of them as tapered, as the tapered mating surfaces have absolutely zero to do with your bikes design. The tapered part is inside the bearing, and defines the type of bearing. The overall dimensions of the bearing will be identical to what you removed.
The race will fit right in the head stock, and the bearing will fit over the steering stem.

FEAR NOT. For we are with you. -BIG DAN:thumb:
