If they suck up water your bike will bog down and maybe shut down. The one coming from the bottom of the carb is the bowl overflow hose, that's the one that stays sticking out of the bottom. If you have a case breather I suggest moving it as well. Leave the radiator overflow hose, don't want coolant in your air box when the radiator boils over.
