Years ago, I got called out by AJ Waggoner and everybody that had a Service Honda for having a custom graphic made using "CR500AF" on my non-Service Honda conversion bike. I wasn't trying to pee on anyone's parade; just thought when you do a conversion, you called it AF for aluminum frame.
