Night riding, the how to make stock lights better

I have yet to ride at night time but I am not looking forward to it either. The lights on my bike suck. I have gone through 3 bulbs as the low beam is always breaking the filament and works for a couple of weeks maybe. I will look into some mods if the need comes along but it seems expensive for something I may not do too much of.

Contrary to popular opinion you do not have to spend a lot for better light. If your KTM uses that funky bulb the first step is an adapter so you can run a H7 bulb. http://www.pmxtec.com/Headlights.htm has the adapters for $51. Then with that adapter you can go HID. You need half of a car HID kit and you will be in business. The HID kits can be had for under $50 for a two element car kit.

Each step in the above produces an incredible improvement and they are only about $50 for each step.

Thanks for the tip. I checked this out and will be ordering this kit. No high low beam but who cares. You don't need the high beam if the lights are bright enough. :thumb:
